T O P I C R E V I E Wnext to neptuneWhat if I knew that a certain transit would do something bad in my life probably, and I simply just moved away and didn't talk with anybody…would I be able to avoid it's consequences??Is it possible to avoid some transits damaging affect on your relationship with people, or do you think that you should just go with the flow in any situation, and accept whatever is going to happen? Jessica2407'Do you think you can trick and cheat with your destiny/transits?'No.anonymidarknessThat would be like trying to run away from your own shadow.Go with the flow.SDragonSometimes it's not by the light that we see who we are. Sometimes it's only in the dark that we truly come face to face and see ourselves for the first time. VenusDiSiriusI dont believe in destiny, I think. I believe in calling, and as such I can trick and sway and move whatever you like. tgemAccept what's going to happen...VenusDiSirius quote:tgem: Accept what's going to happen... quote:Jessica2407:No. Your Mars sign, if you don't mind, m'ladies. MelodieI'm kind of on the fence with this. I think knowing what's coming can either give you the green light to address underlying issues or concerns. Or on the other hand, back off and be more rational and understanding of the situation. But sometimes even if you use astrology to your advantage, it may only be a temporary fix. I mean we can live forever.SaturnineMothYes and No - In my mind (at least), there is essentially a universal law of Free Will, you can only alter your own path, but once that path interconnects another's path, you can only influence your own portion of that "fate", that is it. If it is still the will of the other person to keep on a path, whether knowing or ignorant of the outcome, that is for them to decide. How that comes around/back to your own destiny... or anyone's actions unto others, for that matter... can manifest in a multitude of ways and (really, if we follow a more Hellenic and Vedic standpoint especially), would not adhere to the confines of our idea of "time", and in some cases the outcome will return to "haunt" the bloodline, (sometimes location), ad not the actual person/soul/spirit involved in the expression of free will that took place. (Again different belief systems.) But, there is also a factor of perspective, which is still hugely important before and after considering taking any actions... things are neither good or bad, thinking gives them a label, the label is created by that thought, but Free Will allows you to decide which it will receive. So, what we in our roughly 90 years of existence foresee in our charts for the next December that is so crippling to our relationships, or our life-happiness... can actually be handled or ignored many ways and ultimately serve to benefit our being (or be perilous to it/others) much much later, or sooner, or even in the next lifetime (depending on your philosophy/theology you ascribe to). So yes, while we can make preemptive choices, and avert a severely devastating transitory effect from harming us to some degree, though likely not entirely (since we are only one spoke in that wheel), if we are meant to face some dilemma or learn some lesson, cross some bridge, climb some ladder... whichever way WE decide to see that part of the journey, we are only master's of our /own/ fate in this physical existence up until it collides with the physical existence of some other.I guess that's a bit of a complicated way of viewing things... and, I don't pretend to have the most rational perception of what is commonly known as "reality". ^^; My thoughts are based on (proto)Gnostic---"true archaic" (the Mysteries) Hellenic theories on what constitutes "FATE", "TRUTH", and (Greek) "KARMA". With a touch of the traditional (Indian) concept of Karma, and Destiny. Either way, "hope for the best, prepare for the worst"! ^^ can't go wrong there. hah
